The Entity in my Dad's Home

So I am not sure how to start this here. I'm a little confused, freaked out, idk what. Please bear with me.

I am still pretty skeptical of the existence of spirits and ghosts, because I don't really have definitive proof of them, however, I have had enough experiences and seen and felt enough things where I believe they could exist and so I can't really write it off completely. Still, I try to rationalize every experience I have. That's just my nature.

I am pretty spiritual, but I am not religious. My mother is pagan, and my dad is catholic, but I don't practice anything. I'm agnostic, and really just kind of an empathetic soul. I've always been able to feel energy, sense things in people and places. I'm very intuitive. Idk how to put it. I can go into a room and feel a lightness or a heaviness. It's hard to explain. I've never really been able to see much physical apparitions. Only a handful of times with clarity. Anyway, so currently, I live in a two-family house with my boyfriend and my dad. My dad's apartment is upstairs, and my BF and I live downstairs. My dad grew up here with his parents, but I don't really know much about the house before that. It didn't used to be a 2-family house though.

I've always been afraid of our basement, ever since I was a kid. Specifically in our laundry room, and underneath the basement stairs, I've always felt a weird energy in those places, and going down to the basement always made me uneasy. To this day, I don't like being down there. A friend of mine went down there and saw something that freaked her out, too. So far though, nothing has ever really happened, nothing has ever felt threatening while I've lived there. Mostly in main parts of the house, I'd see things move to a different spot, light bulbs would go out even if they were brand new, or I would see shadows or mists out of the corner of my eye.

Recently however, I had been feeling some unease while upstairs in my dad's apartment. While in his kitchen, I had my back turned to the hallway, and to his bedroom. I felt that feeling you get when someone is watching you, when they're standing behind you. The air felt thicker and I felt uncomfortable. I decided to take a few selfies so I could snap some pictures of the hallway and the crack in his bedroom door, just to see if I could capture anything.

I have a friend who is what I believe is a medium. She has always seen things and experienced weird shit, and if it hadn't been for the fact that she and I had some very scary shared experiences that we can't explain, I might still not believe she's a medium or some of the paranormal stuff I lean towards believing. (Although I'm still constantly trying to rationalize). I asked her to look at the pictures for me, without telling her what they were, or why I wanted her to look. Just was like, "Hey, can you look at some pics for me? Wanna know what you think."

So, she starts scrolling, and she immediately spots an orb/mist behind me, in the corner of one of the photos, that I hadn't noticed. Then she scrolls to the next photo, and her face goes dead, her eyes, widen, and she gets teary, and she gets a look of fear like I rarely see on her face. She tells me there's a face standing in the doorway of my dad's bedroom, staring directly at the camera, like it knows it's getting its picture taken. She describes the face in great detail to me and says that she doesn't feel like I'm in danger per say, but that I should not mess with whatever that is, and she doesn't think it's human.

I have only seen her get this scared at something she's seen once, and it was during a shared experience we had where we saw the same thing in great detail that scared the shit out of us. She was seriously freaked out seeing whatever was in that picture. I cannot see it, however. So, I don't know.

So, okay. I know this is already long, but I'm not done yet.

So naturally, this made me more curious. I felt something behind me that day, and now she told me she saw something standing behind me.

So I had heard of those spirit box things and I kind of think they're shit, honestly. I mean, I'm mostly skeptical of stuff I can't prove anyway, and these things just seem so batshit it's like, there's no way they can be real, right? So, what would be the harm in trying out some dumb app on my phone up in my dad's room to see if I can get anything? I decided yesterday to do that.

So, I found some app that measured the EMF (since the phones now all have manometers in them) and it had that radio frequency scanner and white noise thingy in it. So, it was measuring the EMF and scanning, and it has this text screen on it that supposedly picks up words that come through and relay it onto the screen in text so you can read it in case you didn't hear it or understand it. (Still with me? This sounds so crazy and dumb right? I'm still rolling my eyes). So downstairs in my apartment, I don't normally get much activity. If I do, I'll see something out of the corner of my eye, but the feeling down there is pretty light, nothing really bothers me. Basement is worst, and upstairs especially lately has been bad. So, I decided to try it out downstairs first. Wasn't picking up much. EMF was staying pretty low, in the green, not beeping much. Got the word "bathroom" as text, which to be fair, I DO sometimes feel weird in the bathroom, but nothing really came from that.

So I'm walking around, asking some questions and not really getting anything, and I start walking towards the stairs to go up to my dad's apartment. The EMF starts getting a little higher, starts turning a little orange, beeps a little more. Gets a little more active as I get closer to my dad's bedroom. I finally get to his door and the word "remain" comes through as text. I'm freaking out a tiny bit, but I'm still skeptical.

I ask, "Do you want me to stay here?" I get nothing yet. I ask if it used to live here, I get the word "teacher." Then I ask "What is your name?" I get the answer "Gracie." (All of these come as texts, but I hear the white noise cut out before the text words come through)

Then I move to the center of his room, onto the bed, and the thing starts going CRAZY! EMFs in the red, beeping like a mother fucker. Then it slows down a little bit, goes back to orange. My dad is catholic, remember, so he has like 3 or 4 crucifixes in his room. He has a pic of the virgin mary in there as well. One crucifix is above his bed. I looked at the crucifix above the bed, and as I got closer to it, the beeping got louder and the EMF got red and the graph bars got as high as they went until my phone vibrated in my hand, and then I asked, "Do you not like the crucifix?"

Then, the white noise cut out again, and for the first time since starting this experiment with this dumb app, I heard an AUDIBLE NOISE COME THROUGH, and it was AN UNMISTAKABLE GROWL, that was NOT LIKE A DOG or ANY ANIMAL I have EVER HEARD!! This thing was deep and throaty, and wet, and angry. Then the word "annihilation" came across as a text word, and I just NOPED THE FUCK BACK DOWNSTAIRS!

YOU GUYS! Look. I was not expecting anything to come from this. I thought that app was bullshit and still sort of think it is. Like, it CAN'T BE REAL, right??! But, I know what I already felt in that room before starting this, and the things I've seen and felt my whole life, and I KNOW I HEARD THAT GROWL! It was the ONLY noise that came back through that thing. It was not picking up some random shit from a radio station. It was really creepy that ANNIHILATION was the word that came after the growl and that was the only ominous word that came out of that whole thing, and the room where I felt most energy was where that thing was reading the most magnetic energy. Idk. I'm still trying to rationalize things, but I'm freaked out you guys.

I have the pics, and I'm curious if I posted them if you guys might be able to spot this thing standing in the doorway? Idk. I'm like...this sounds so crazy.

So I called my brother after this happened, and he told me he's seen a demon in there for years, and apparently something followed him home one night from a cemetery when he was hanging out there with his friends. Idk if they did some occult shit while they were there (he knows better, so I fucking hope not), and idk what this thing is. I want answers but now I'm afraid to be in my house.

I know feeding it will make it worse. It hasn't hurt me this whole time, but maybe now by talking to it, I fucking stirred shit up.

Also, fwiw, there is construction happening directly behind my house because they're expanding a nursing home and digging up an old parking lot and excavating and stuff, so idk if that also could contribute to activity in my house.

I know this sounds nuts. Especially the spirit box app thing because I seriously am rolling my eyes as I type this, but just the growl and the annihilation after the growl scared the shit out of me. That growl was so audible it was like it was in the room with me, and it was like nothing I've ever heard in my life. I will never forget that. I don't know what to believe anymore after hearing that.

Idk what to do. I hope you guys believe me cause Idk what to do and I'm scared to be in my house.
